Quick answer

Sign in to your Peacock account and select Cancel All Subscriptions, then follow the steps until you see a confirmation. Cancel no later than the day before your next billing date. You keep access until the end of the current term, and Peacock says it does not refund prior payments unless the law requires it. If you don't see Cancel All Subscriptions, a third party such as Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or your TV provider bills you, and you cancel with them.

How to cancel Peacock in your account

  1. Sign in to your Peacock account on the Peacock website.
  2. Select Cancel All Subscriptions. This cancels your base plan (Select, Premium or Premium Plus) and every add-on.
  3. Follow the steps until Peacock shows a confirmation message on screen.
  4. Look for the confirmation email. Peacock says it may take a few hours to arrive.

If you can't sign in to cancel, Peacock says you can cancel through its chat support. Peacock's terms say to cancel no later than the day before your next recurring billing date to avoid the next charge.

Remove only an add-on

You need a base plan to keep any add-on, so Peacock sets add-ons to auto-cancel when you cancel your plan. To drop only an add-on, such as a regional sports network or Starz, and keep your plan:

  1. Sign in to your Peacock account.
  2. On the Subscriptions tab, select the add-on you want to cancel.
  3. Select Remove Add-On and follow the steps. The add-on does not renew at the end of its current term.

If Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a provider bills you

Peacock says it cannot cancel a plan you bought through a third party. Your billing relationship is with that company, and its cancellation and refund terms apply.

  • Apple: in Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Peacock and Cancel Subscription. Apple says that if there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red, it is already cancelled. See how to cancel subscriptions on iPhone.
  • Google Play: in the Play app, go to subscriptions, select Peacock and tap Cancel subscription. Google says uninstalling the app does not cancel.
  • Roku: go to my.roku.com/subscriptions, select the subscription, then Manage subscription and Turn off auto-renew. Roku says you keep access until the billing cycle ends. Our Roku subscriptions guide explains which charges come from Roku.
  • Amazon: Peacock lists Amazon as a third-party biller and links to Amazon's help for cancelling. Contact Amazon if you can't find the subscription.
  • DIRECTV, Spectrum, Verizon, Xfinity or Xumo TV: Peacock says to contact the provider directly to cancel.

Switching to a plan from another company? Peacock says that if an existing subscription blocks you from activating a new one through a third party, cancel the existing subscription and wait until it fully lapses first.

What happens after you cancel

  • Your plan does not renew at the end of its current term, and you keep access until then.
  • Peacock's terms say cancellation can take effect right away if you are on a free trial or promotion, or if Peacock gives you a prorated refund for the unused days.
  • Peacock says no refunds or credits are issued for prior payments when you cancel or downgrade Premium or Premium Plus, unless the law requires it.
  • Its terms say Peacock may give refunds or credits at its own discretion, without having to do the same again.
  • An add-on with a different billing date keeps billing until your base plan's term ends, unless you cancel it separately.

Switch plans instead of cancelling

If you want to keep Peacock and pay for a different tier, Peacock's help center explains how to switch between Premium and Premium Plus. The steps depend on whether you pay Peacock directly or through a third party such as Roku, Apple, Amazon or Google. Peacock does not refund prior payments when you downgrade.

Confirm the cancellation

  1. Keep the confirmation email Peacock sends.
  2. Sign in to your account and select View Payment History on the Plans & Payment tab to see past and upcoming payments.
  3. If a third party bills you, check that company's subscriptions page or bill instead.
  4. Check your card or bank statement after your next billing date. If a Peacock charge still appears, our guide to unexpected and duplicate charges covers what to ask.

Check for other streaming charges

Peacock is rarely the only streaming charge on a statement. Our guide to finding all your subscriptions covers every place to look, and the Money Leak Finder gives a rough yearly cost of charges you no longer use. For more provider steps, see the subscription cancellation guide.

Where Compass+ fits

The Compass assistant runs inside Gerald with a read-only bank connection, so it can see recurring charges such as streaming subscriptions in your transactions. It cannot cancel subscriptions, sign in to your accounts or stop charges for you.

Standalone Compass+ is waitlist-only while broader money-finding features are being built.

Frequently asked questions

Peacock FAQ

When should I cancel Peacock to avoid the next charge?

Peacock's Terms of Service say to cancel no later than the day before your next recurring billing date. You can see that date on your account details page.

Will Peacock refund me if I cancel?

Usually not. Peacock says no refunds or credits are issued for prior payments when you cancel or downgrade Premium or Premium Plus, unless the law requires it. Its terms say Peacock may still choose to give a refund or credit.

Why don't I see Cancel All Subscriptions on Peacock?

Peacock says you may have a subscription through a third party, such as Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a TV or internet provider. Peacock can't cancel those plans, so contact the company that bills you.

Does cancelling Peacock also cancel my add-ons?

Cancel All Subscriptions ends your base plan and every add-on, such as a regional sports network. Peacock's terms add that an add-on with its own billing date keeps billing until your base plan's term ends, unless you cancel the add-on separately.

Can I keep watching Peacock after I cancel?

Yes, until the end of your billing cycle. Peacock's terms say cancellation can take effect right away if you are on a free trial or promotion, or if Peacock gives you a prorated refund.

How do I know my Peacock cancellation worked?

Peacock shows a confirmation message on screen and sends a confirmation email, which may take a few hours. You can also check charges under View Payment History on the Plans & Payment tab of your account.
