Ways to cancel Disney+
Disney+ Help Center, checked Oct. 19, 2026
Quick answer
If Disney+ bills you directly, log in to DisneyPlus.com in a computer or mobile browser, select your Profile, then Account, select your Disney+ subscription under Subscription and select Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of your current subscription term. If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Hulu, a phone or TV provider or another partner, cancel with that partner. The Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu Subscriber Agreement says there are no refunds or credits for partly used billing periods, except where the law requires.
How to cancel Disney+ on the website
- Log in to DisneyPlus.com in a computer or mobile browser.
- Select your Profile.
- Select Account.
- Select your Disney+ subscription under Subscription.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
Disney+ says these steps also cancel bundle and add-on subscriptions that Disney+ bills. Cancelling does not delete your Disney+ account or the MyDisney account you use for other Disney services.
If you pay for Disney+ through a partner
Disney+ says that when you buy through a third-party billing partner, billing and account management are usually handled by that partner. Steps for common partners:
- Apple: on an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions and select Disney+. Disney+ says new and returning subscribers can no longer pay through Apple, but existing Apple-billed subscribers are not affected. Our guide to cancelling subscriptions on iPhone has more detail.
- Google Play: in a web browser, go to the Google Play store, click your account icon, select Payment & subscriptions, open the Subscriptions tab, select Disney+, click Manage and select Cancel subscription.
- Amazon: go to Amazon Memberships and Subscriptions in a web browser, sign in, find Disney+ and select Cancel Subscription.
- Roku: Disney+ says to manage or cancel a Roku sign-up directly through Disney+. Roku says that even when it processes the charge, Disney+ manages the subscription.
- Verizon or Xfinity: manage it through your provider account. Disney+ says you also have the option to manage or cancel directly through Disney+.
- Spectrum or Total Wireless: manage it through your provider account.
- Kroger Boost: Disney+ says members with a 12-month Boost offer manage it in their Kroger Boost account, and members with a six-month offer use their Disney+ account page.
- Hulu: a bundle you signed up for through Hulu can be managed in your Hulu account or your Disney+ account. See how to cancel Hulu.
- HBO Max: a Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max bundle bought through HBO Max is managed through HBO Max.
Bundle billing: what keeps charging
- If you had a Hulu, ESPN or HBO Max subscription before you upgraded to a bundle, cancelling that original subscription leaves the bundle running. Any credit toward the bundle for ESPN ends.
- Cancelling the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN bundle does not end the original subscription. Disney+ says it continues at the then-current price and terms, billed by whoever you signed up through, unless you cancel it separately.
- Disney+ says a Disney+ and Hulu subscription included with an eligible Spectrum plan does not replace subscriptions you already had. Those must be managed separately.
- Pausing Disney+ in a bundle also pauses the other services in that bundle.
What happens after you cancel
- You keep access until the end of your current subscription term. Disney+ says timing depends on your plan and whether you are billed monthly, annually or are in a promotional period.
- The Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu Subscriber Agreement says that, except where the law requires, there are no refunds or credits for partly used billing periods. Disney may give refunds or credits case by case.
- The agreement says to cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on the day before your subscription term ends to avoid the next charge.
- Changed your mind? Before the term ends, log in, select your profile, then Account, Restart Subscription and Agree. Once the term ends, the subscription is fully canceled and you need to subscribe again.
- After cancelling, you can also choose to delete your Disney+ account.
Pause Disney+ instead
If Disney+ bills you monthly, log in, select your Profile, then Account, select your Disney+ subscription, select Pause Subscription, choose how long and select Pause Subscription again. Disney+ says certain plans are not eligible.
- The pause starts on the first day of your next billing period. You can keep streaming until then.
- During the pause you are not charged and cannot watch anything. When it ends, a new billing period begins.
- An Extra Member or add-on on your subscription is paused too.
- You can resume any time with Resume Subscription on your account page. Disney+ bills you right away and starts a new billing period.
- Your account must be active with payments up to date. If a partner bills you, contact that partner about pausing.
Confirm the cancellation
- Open your Disney+ Account page and check the status of your subscription after you cancel.
- If Apple bills you, check Subscriptions again. Apple says no Cancel button, or an expiration message in red text, means the subscription is already canceled.
- If you had a bundle, look for separate Hulu or ESPN charges that may continue after the bundle ends.
- Check your statement after your term ends. If a Disney+ charge still appears, our guide to unexpected and duplicate charges covers what to ask.
Check for other streaming charges
Disney+ often sits next to other streaming charges, sometimes from the same bundle. Our guide to finding all your subscriptions covers every place to look, and the Money Leak Finder gives a rough yearly cost of charges you no longer use. Frequently asked questions
Disney+ cancellation FAQ
When does a Disney+ cancellation take effect?
At the end of your current subscription term. Disney+ says the timing depends on your plan and whether you are billed monthly, annually or are in a promotional period. You can keep watching until then.
Will Disney+ refund the rest of my month?
Usually not. The Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu Subscriber Agreement says that, except where the law requires, there are no refunds or credits for partly used billing periods, though Disney may give one case by case.
Why can't I cancel Disney+ on the website?
You probably pay through a partner such as Apple, Google Play, Amazon, a phone company or a TV provider. Disney+ says billing and account management are then usually handled by that partner, so cancel there.
If I cancel my Disney+ bundle, will Hulu still charge me?
It can. Disney+ says that if you had a Hulu, ESPN or third-party billed subscription before you upgraded to a bundle, it continues at the then-current price when you cancel the bundle, unless you cancel it separately.
Can I pause Disney+ instead of cancelling?
If you have a monthly plan billed by Disney+, often yes. Choose Pause Subscription in your account. Some plans are not eligible, and pausing Disney+ also pauses the other services in a bundle.
Can I undo a Disney+ cancellation?
Yes, before your subscription term ends. Log in on DisneyPlus.com, select your profile, then Account, Restart Subscription and Agree. After the term ends, you need to subscribe again.
