Sign in to Amazon, open the Cancel Your Prime Membership page and follow the prompts. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Amazon refunds the full fee if you cancel within 3 business days of a paid start, minus benefits used, or at any time if your account used no Prime benefits and made no eligible purchases since the last charge. Prime Video add-ons keep billing until you cancel them separately.

How to cancel Amazon Prime on Amazon

Sign in to the Amazon account that pays for Prime.
Go to the Cancel Your Prime Membership page. For more options, Amazon also points to your Prime Membership page.
Follow the prompts until Amazon confirms the cancellation.
If you get stuck, go to the Amazon Customer Service homepage, select Something else, then I need help with something else.

Amazon's Prime terms say your membership renews automatically unless you tell Amazon you want to cancel before a charge. If the fee goes up, Amazon says it will tell you before the renewal, and you can cancel any time before the renewal takes effect.

If you signed up through Google Play or another company

Google Play: Amazon says to cancel through Google's subscription services. In the Play app, go to subscriptions, select the membership and tap Cancel subscription. Google says uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
Another company: if your Prime membership is tied to another company's service, Amazon says to contact that company to cancel. Its refund rules apply, not Amazon's.

Can you get a refund?

Amazon's Prime terms, last updated Aug. 14, 2026, set two cases for members who signed up directly with Amazon:

Within 3 business days of signing up or converting from a free trial to paid: Amazon refunds the full fee, but it may charge or withhold the value of Prime benefits your account used in those 3 business days.
At any other time: Amazon refunds the full fee only if your account made no eligible purchases and used no Prime benefits since your latest Prime charge.

Cancel Prime Video add-ons separately

Amazon says subscriptions on Prime Video, such as Paramount+, continue after your Prime membership ends. To stop one:

Go to Manage Your Subscriptions and select Subscriptions from the top menu.
Find the add-on you want to cancel.
Select Unsubscribe and confirm.

What happens after you cancel an add-on

If Amazon offers a self-service refund and you accept it, the cancellation takes effect right away.
Otherwise, the end date shows on the confirmation screen, and you can reverse the cancellation until then. After that date, you are not charged and lose that channel's content.
If you pay for the add-on through Apple, Amazon says to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal or you may be charged.

Confirm the cancellation

Open Your Memberships and Subscriptions. Amazon says it lists active, canceled and expired subscriptions with renewal dates and prices, including Prime and Prime Video.
Check that Prime and any add-ons you stopped are no longer active. For other digital subscriptions, Amazon puts Cancel Subscription under Manage Subscription and Advanced Controls.
