Best Buy matches its own lower price for your whole return period, 15 days or 60 for members. Here is how to ask and what is excluded.

If Best Buy lowers its own price during your return and exchange period, it will match the lower price when you ask, and you can ask more than once. The period is 15 days for most products, or 60 days for My Best Buy Plus and Total members, starting the day you receive the item. For BestBuy.com orders, use online chat or call 1-888-237-8289. For store purchases, go to the Customer Service desk.
What Best Buy's price match covers
- After purchase: Best Buy's own lower price in stores, online or in the app, during the return and exchange period, as many times as it drops.
- Before delivery: if Best Buy drops the price before your scheduled delivery date, it refunds 100% of the difference, including tax.
- Pre-orders: if the price drops by the time it ships, Best Buy charges the lower price automatically.
- At checkout: the current price of Best Buy's listed Qualified Competitors, for new, immediately available items.
How long you have
Best Buy's price match window is your return and exchange period, which starts the day you receive the product:
- Most products: 15 days, or 60 days for My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members.
- Activatable devices such as phones, cellular tablets and hotspots: 14 days for everyone. Verizon devices get 30 days.
- Marketplace products do not get the member extension, and they are not covered by the price match.
How to request a Best Buy price adjustment
- For BestBuy.com orders, including Store Pickup and app orders, check your Order Details page. Best Buy says the See details link shows price match availability.
- Start an online chat or call 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). Online requests cannot be completed in stores or by email, and must come from the purchaser.
- For store purchases, go to the Customer Service desk or ask a Customer Specialist.
- For a drop before your delivery date, you must call.
What Best Buy will not match
Best Buy matches the pre-tax price, and shipping charges are not included in the comparison.
- Marketplace products from third-party sellers, on Best Buy or elsewhere.
- Clearance, open-box, refurbished and pre-owned items.
- Member-only prices if you are not a member, and competitors' member or loyalty prices.
- Coupons, bundles, financing, gift card and free-item offers. You can use a coupon or a price match, not both.
- Competitor prices during Black Friday week, from the Thursday before Thanksgiving through the Monday after.

Where Compass+ fits
